JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor. JFK is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency, and has received several prestigious healthcare awards.
Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare.
We have a variety of nursing specialties, including:
- Emergency Room (and Level IV Trauma Center)
- Intensive Care Unit
- Surgical Services: Pre-Op, Operating Room, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit
- Medical Surgical Telemetry Units (combined Units)
- Women’s Services, both Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum Care (separate Units)
- Pediatric services

Position Qualifications:
Active California Registered Nurse/RN License OR Interim Permit. An active Interim Permit can be considered in lieu of active license. Interim Permittee is subject to the provisions of California Board of Registered Nursing regarding interim permits.
Other Qualifications are based on area of nursing specialty and can include:
BLS/CPR
ACLS (within three months of hire)
PALS (within three months of hire)
NRP (within two months of hire)
Basic Computer Skills (JFK operates on the Cerner platform)
MICN (for ER after one year of employment as an RN)
ER Triage Course (after one year of employment as an ER RN)
AB-508 Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within six months of hire (ER RN)
Pay Range: $43.95
10,000k Sign-on Bonus Available
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
